Oh, also usually emigration to Australia is usually captured in the National Archives of Australia online website. Links are in almost every surname wiki page on the homepage of familytreecircles.

Dear Raelene, Don't panic ... everything you need is here:-
AUSTRALIA - webpage links for genealogy country-wide
AUSTRALIA - webpage links for genealogy in Victoria - VIC.
WATSON family
With your WATSON family, create a new journal with a subject heading "WATSON family from blahblah New Zealand" and include all your known information written very carefully so that anyone will be able to tell the relationships between all the parties mentioned. Be very careful not to display details on living people on the web, e.g. their full name, address, full date of birth/marriage (just the year is ok) to protect privacy.
Q.Did your WATSONs emigrate from NZ to Australia? If so, the Public Record Office of Victoria online usually has their passenger records. Link is in the Victorian link above.
Have a read of other people's journals to get the idea.
Tip1: For those that are unaware, typing in fully blocked capitals (i.e. uppercase) denotes that a person is shouting, and it is better to write in proper sentence format with only the surnames standing out in uppercase.
Tip2: Think about how you are going to store your family tree data as you have now undertaken an enormous hobby and can easily collect so much information your mind will be boggling.
I store all my familytree data in a computer programme called PAF (Personal Ancestral File) which I downloaded for free from the internet. See my journals, just click on my profile and/or do a search for PAF.
Tip3: Do a search here in the top right-hand corner for free, freebies and newbies to read more great info.
Kind regards,
Alison QLD.
