Researching the Skipper family, my maternal grandmother was a Skipper. Her father was Minter Skipper. She may have grew up in Campbello, South Carolina, just across the line from Rutherford County, NC. She married, lived and raised her family in McDowell County, NC. She married Johson Davis. She is buried in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery on Salem Church road just outside of Old Fort, in McDowell County.
Any information about her parents, grandparents, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Her brother Minter Cornelius Skipper, disappeared in the late 1930s and died in Florida. I have his death certificate.
