I cannot get past the James Clark who may have born February 11, 1788 but I do not think he was born in Georgia, possibly South Carolina. He and his wife Ann Horne moved to Georgia around 1813 to Long County (formerly McIntosh County). They were married in Beaufort, South Carolina. They moved to Bryan County, GA around 1821 and then to Libery County in 1838 where he purchase several parcels of land. He served in the War of 1812 for a brief period of time. Signed on at Beard's Bluff on the Altamaha River and was discharged in Riceboro, GA.

Thank you for this information. Where did you find it? I had heard Nicholas Clark may be James Clark's father but I could not find any documentation.
