I too am interested in the Ervin family connection to the Flanery/Flanary family. What I do have is:
Dr. Silas Seveir Flanery (1780-1849) was married to a Nancy Ervin (1783-1830)
John William Flanery (b. Montgomery Co., VA 1778 d. Buchanan Co., MO 1848) was married to an Elizabeth N. "Polly" Ervin (B. abt. 1789, d. unknown)
The parents of Silas and John Flanery were Silas Sr. and Violet Marshall.
It appears the Ervin family intersects with the Flanery family later in MO where, Marquis de Lafayette Ervin (b. Jun 17 1842, Jackson Co., MO d. unknown) marries Matilda Malvina Flanery (b. May 10 1847 d. May 5 1929, Jackson Co., MO) on Jan 13 1867 in Jackson Co., MO.
I traced Marquis de Lafayette Ervin to his parents, Miles Ervin (1802-1849) and Rachel Estep (b. 1800 d. unknown)
It is my hope to somehow connect Miles Ervin to Nancy and Polly, but I have been unable to do so.
