My great grandfather's name was Wilhelm Marquardt. He was married to Henriette (Bode) . I'm trying to trace my roots. I haven't determined yet if Vogt is related but the name sounds familiar. I know we had some kind of Jewish heritage or connection as well, but I think it may have involved an affair or something, because I was told it was hidden before Hitler came to power. And, I think, but I'm not sure, that it was on my maternal side. My family is from Hamburg, but my greatgrandfather went east during the war. it rings a bell but Wilhelm Marquardt was still alive in 1950 as he was a witness to my parents wedding. He was 50 at the time. My grandfather Rzehak helped him and his family escape the sudeten holocaust during the war. that is all i know about him
