CROOKS family of Brooke Co., W. Va.

FITHEN) was born in Brooke Co., West Virginia,(at that time it was still Virginia) in 1832. Her father's name was Valentine Crooks; her mother is unknown. On one Iowa census, she said her father was born in Connecticut, but I have not found him in any census there. Her siblings were Rachel and Isaac. Valentine probably had a second wife, name unknown. If anyone has any more details, I would appreciate knowing the origin of this family. Thank you! |
