I too am researching the Betteridge's. My G Grandmother was Elizabeth Betteridge b 1851 Tamworth - she married John Smith. They moved to Hucknall in c 1880.
I have done quite a bit of research on the Betteridge family so if you can tell me who your Betteridge Great Grandparents are I might be able to help you go further back.
