My grandmother was Oma FOX, d/o Thomas FOX and Martha ROACH,(married to John W. TATE), d/o of James S. ROACH and Mahulda LILLY, d/o Andrew LILLY and Arrena McCOY. Do any of these names sound familiar to you? Martha ROACH was a half-sister of Mary Angelina ROACH, the mother of Mary Fredonia Annabell CHILD. James S. ROACH was first married to Laura LILLY, then to her older sister Mahulda.

Hi Sharon and Leona, Sharon knows I descend from Pleasant Roach, Martha Roach's brother. Can either of you help me with which children of Andrew Lily belong to Arrena Mccoy and which belong to Nancy Hargrave? I assume the half brother William Lily that certified Martha's birth certificate was from Nancy.

Fun Fact: There is a Lily Creek just southwest of Effingham near Watson Illinois where some of the Lilys lived.
