my family line started out in england and immigrated to america to i think virginia and kentucky and then i know to indiana. several generations lived in shropshire england before coming to america.
one of the sanford men married elizabeth "betsy" ransdell and had a son william ransdell sanford who married elizabeth "Betsy" threlkheld and they had a son named samuel who married elizabeth shelton i think and they had a son named James hiram sanford who married minnie lousetta whitley and they had 10 children of whon loris henry sanford was my grandfather on my mothers side of the family. loris henry sanford married lou forest russell who is my grandmother and they had 2 daughters of which one avonelle ann sanford was my mother.
