The only information I have on William Pott is a newspaper article where he is mentioned as the father of Harriet Pott when she married John Bonfoy Rooper 13 June 1810. Then he was mentioned as William Pott of Portman Square, London.
This link below is a register of past members of parliament and this is a son of John. His name is William Browne and at the bottom of the page it says his paternal grandfather was an Irish political convict....

According to the 1841 census for Newington,Surrey, Samuel age 63 was no born in Surrey, Mary age 33 is entered below him, also not born in Surrey and below her name there is a John age 6 who was born in Surrey.
Above these names is a John age...
My family of Trent's came out to South AFrica circa 1848.
They were John Trent and Ann Lawrence Trent born Cooper, they married in 1835 in St George the Martyr, Southwalk, Surrey in 1835.
