Census also states that Sarah had 11 children all living in 1911. I have only identified 10. CK in Ireland identified this missing sibling as a daughter named Sarah and that she also came to the USA.

I have found records that Thomas, Anne, Andrew, Patrick and Julia all came to USA
Looks like Bartley, Colman, John, William, James stayed in Ireland.

I have been told that Saint Josephs in Rahoon may have the birth/death and marriage certificates. I have not found these on line, can anybody help?

If you are related and can help me to identify the missing parts please let me know. The best way to contact me by email to: johnbearce@yahoo.com In the subject line please put Kain,Kane,Keane.

Thank you CK for responding, and CF (a native of Barna) and also to BK for speaking with me about the family.

Hi, William and Sarah Keane are my great-grandparents. My dad is John Keane's son and he remembers a Julia, who emigrated to America when she was very young. And his aunt was called Sarah, not Sadie, who also emigrated to America.3 of the siblings stayed in Ireland and all lived within the Keeraun area. My dad is in his 80's and is the last living grandson of William and Sarah Keane. Hope this helps!!

Hi,

I don't know how I missed your reply, I just happened to see your response tonight. Your response definitely helps and thank you for taking he time to post it.

I have done more research and now know that this is definitely my Grandfather's family. I recently made contact with a Keane living in Barna and he mentioned that John had a son that is in his 80s and living in Barna. Obviously this must be your father that he told me about.

In my research it looked like John, William, and James all stayed in Ireland. Colman is still a question I have found no record of him coming to Boston, and was assuming that he may also have stayed in Ireland. This would mean that 4 stayed home.

Of the 11 siblings from the census I have identified 9, plus Julia that was missing from 1901 and 1911. So there is still one missing. The census states that Sarah had 11 children and all were living in 1911.

My GF Thomas destination when he came to Boston was his sister's Anne in Brookline. When his brother Patrick came over his destination was to be with my GF in Brookline. Julia (not sure why she was not on the census also came to Brookline. I met Julia several times and knew her two daughters.

If you have the time and interest could you help me to find out where I could get birth/death/marriage records. Also if you can identify the missing sibling that would also be a big help.

I will also be talking to the Keane that I have been in contact with later this week and again if you have any interest I would also like to talk to you. I am not mentioning the first name of the Keane that I am talking to because of the public nature of this forum.

Anything that you can tell me will be greatly appreciated. I am also sharing everything I learn with Grandchildren of Patrick, as well as my own first cousins.

Thanks,
