Welcome jesmond, Great to see someone from Malta in here.
A beautiful Island. I have relatives living in St.Paul's Bay.
Malta was officially part of Britain from 1814 to 1964 but there were British living on the Ireland well before that. so, the Kingswell's could have been there since then if not before. I've found that if you want to know anything in Malta go to a church or a cafe. Or you could ring the British Residents Association, their members are very knowledgable as far as local history is concerned. I haven't tried this Malta Family History site yet.
