Laois Genealogy

Journal by laoisboy

I provide help from headstone records of over 100 cemeteries in Laois to assist persons who are tracing their family roots. Headstone records are often the only way to check family roots in Ireland after the fire in Dublin in 1922 which destroyed hundreds of records.

Dear laoisboy, Welcome. Thank you for your offer of help. Do you have the headstone records already typed up as a searchable list? And/or are all the headstones photographed?

Q. Most of my CANTWELLs came from Tipperary & Kilkenny, however was wondering if any are buried nearby in Laois?

My partner Ted has grandparents from County Laois. Is it possible that there are any Bannon or McCabe relatives buried/registered? Many thanks, Bibba
