Have you checked masschusetts for origins and where they migrated to

Davenport is an old Pilgrim and Puritan Name, it is in my Rockwood Genealogy book

This may be a good starting point

also, check Church of Later Day Saints

I wish I could afford the book , but right now its hard , Mary Harris and him had a son William Lewis Davenport which is my great great grandfather on 2 side , but looking for years for Lewis Davenport ,Last time was 1840 Sumner County
Cencus was the last record of Him.
