Hi tonkin and thank you for replying. Yep, that's them. Walter died in NSW, just a few kms away from me actually but Frederick is elusive. I can't find that he came to Australia or died here for that matter. Percival's death certificate was not completed by a family member, hence the Edwin as father, when Edwin was a brother. Any ideas about Frederick?

Hello asheppard
Percival became a merchant mariner and was in Sydney in 1891 living at Woolloomooloo. He was looking for his brother Walter . Walter died later in 1936. Percival also did a voyage from London to Sydney in 1898 and 1899. He then did coastal trips from Melbourne to Sydney.
Alfred was here before 1890 when he married Ethel. He died in 1926 in Prahran. I don't know for sure when he came to Aus, or Walter for that matter.
I found most of this from the trove newspapers on the national Library of Australia site and also the mariners in Australian Waters. Even their father Edward came out a couple of times as a chief engineer.
But Frederick is still elusive. I do have an 1891 census possible in St George the Martyr, with a Louisa/Laura. There are lots of them but pinpointing the right one is a nightmare.
As for Terence Logan, he appears in 1841 census but I can't find him in 1851.
Thank you for your info.
