lauriet has been a Family Tree Circles member since May 2011. is researching the following names: EASTERBROOK.
I am sending this as I am not certain the previous note got to you.... I am familiar with the family you reference. Joan is my Mother and Gladys ( actually Gladys Isabel Stedman)was my Grandmother. She (Gladys) was married to a Charles Stedman in Montreal around 1916 and then met up with John Edward Easterbrook (he was sometimes called Jack). Jack at the Time was married to Laura Easterbrook (not sure of Laura's Maiden name. John (Jack) served in WW1 in the Engineer Corp and then returned to Montreal. Jack and Charles Stedman worked together in Montreal and when Charles had health problems (actually drinking)Both Audrey (93) and Joan (79) are still alive (Ken passed away). Gladys moved with John (Jack)
I have been doing a fair amount of research so I have additional info if you would like. My direct email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Sorry .... the note above is a little disorganized. The net is Gladys and John (Jack) stayed in Montreal up until approx early 1940's and then moved to Gananogue, Ontario where they lived out their lives. It is a little difficult to get detail sometimes, but they never got married (Gladys & John) as I suspect he was still married to Laura. Anyway ... my Mother Joan had the name Stedman (Gladys first Husband name) up until she got married (as did Audrey and Kenneth).
I just stumbled on your note on Family Tree Circles and thought I'd let you know I am related to the John / Laura Easterbrook of Montreal -
My father (also John Edward) was their eldest son.
I have also had some contact with the daughter of Kenneth, John Edward [Sr]' s son with Gladys (Stedman).
