Looking for info on James Webb Walker,Son of Thomas Jackson Walker,Sr..I would like to know more about the Indian connection in the family. I was told it was Blackfoot or Cherokee.I would also like to know where his middle name Webb came from. James Webb Walker is my Great-Great Grandfather.

I wonder if your line could connect to the one that I am searching for. I have Jonathan Walker b. abt 1790 prob.Ky d.abt 1856 Indiana. m. Mary "Polly" Brenton in Indiana. His parents prob.b.N.C.,but may be Pa. brother Isaac Walker m.Susannah Risley. Prob. bros. Benjamin,James,John,Thomas, although Thos, was much older, maybe related in another way, also visited Jonathan while he and others in Dubois,Pike,Perry,Knox, and other southern Indiana counties. It is thought that Thomas was in Clark Co. and served with George Rogers Clark. All in Indiana when Jonathan was. Pedigree is thought to link to Beady (?spelling, initials, B.D.,translation,nickname,white man's name)Walker who was an Indian married to a white woman, hanged for killing a white horse theif. Said to have been Cherokee or Black Foot, but may be of one of the triracial tribes of the area of N.C.,Ky.,Tenn. Jonathan and Polly's children were,Dessick/Dessex/D.L./Dick,Almond Bloomford,Jonathan II,Mary,Surilda/Zurilda,Charlotte,Sampson,Louvena,Indiana.Children all b. Indiana.

Sorry for not getting back with you sooner.I was out on the road with my husband and didn't have internet connection.I am not sure but it could be possible because my Grandfather's ancestors came out of Pa. and went into North Carolina and they also lived in Ky.,Tenn., and Canada and Indiana and Ohio and Georgia I think. You can check out on the internet of by going to: In Search Of.....History And Family Lore Of Our Walker Family by W.R.Walker. He has alot of info on my Granddaddy's family and ancestors. This is very interesting and I hope we will be able to find out more and we might just be related. If you find out anything more please let me know. Thanks for emailing me.Later, Brenda Leigh Walker Sims Watson
