I found the following- NZ official BDM records- I think it is the same family
--> James Meredith -b- 1844 - d- 1899 or // -b- 1844 -d-1898
( age 55 ) ( age 54 )
Clara Elizabeth - b-1855 (? ) - d- 1890 (age 35 )
** --> possible - married age( 18 )- 1873 in nz ????? ( not proven )
Children - Emily Jane Meredith -b- 1874 -nz
- Harriot Lindon " -b- 1880 -nz
- Elsie Mabel " -b- 1884 -nz

It might be all wrong !! if it is throw it in the can - You could also Try the Passenger lists--> NZ Bound <or the --> NZ census 1871
