- he married Cordelia Mary TATTERSALL (1850-1928) in Dunedin 1876

John was born in Greenwich Kent England
- he died in 1922 aged 66
- he had been living in 31 Berry Street, Christchurch
- he is buried in Bromley Cemetery Christchurch
- PLOT 141 - BLOCK 37
Cordelia was born in Birmingham Warwickshire England
- she died in 1928 aged 78
- she had been living in Palmerston North, Manawatu
- she is buried in Bromley Cemetery Christchurch with John

Their children were:
