If you go to familysearch.org you will find him on the census records. Also, there is a New York County Estate File, for Jasper Coghlan, probate year 1889. he died without a will. (Just put in his name and kings,Brooklyn, NY. ) It lists the file number, and if you live in Brooklyn, New York then you could go to the court house and obtain copy of that file. You could also call them or find their email.
For this site, NY births 1640-1962, deaths 1795-1951, marriages 1686-1980.
