She married my father Ivan Cecil Morgan on Nov 14, 1929 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. Her father was John McClelland Day, he was born Apr 13,1881 in Bath County, Kentucky and died June 1, 1915 in Rowan County, Kentucky of T.B. He married Chloe Myrtle Elam on 6-15, 1902 in Farmers, Rowan County, Kentucky. John's parents were Daniel Alexander Day born 4-3-1849 in Carter County, Kentucky and died Dec 22, 1921 in Farmers, Rowan County, Kentucky. He married Frances Josephine Craig on 6-8-1868 in Bath County, Kentucky. Daniel Day's parents were Eli Day born Mar 13, 1822 in Morgan County, Kentucky he died Mar 29, 1899 in Elliotsville, Rowan County, Kentucky. Eli married Elizabeth "Betty" Goodan on 2-23-1844 in Carter County, Kentucky. I am looking for Eli Day's parents. I am leaning towards a John Day born 1797 in Franklin County, Virgina and who died 4-24-1853 in Carter/Morgan County, Kentucky. John married Sarah Lykins on Jan 9, 1814. I would love to hear from anyone working on the Days from Eastern Kentucky. Thanks.

My name is Merry. My family is from Eastern KY, mainly Morgan County. My great great grandmother was Lydia Day (born 1816) and married to Beverly McClain. Their son Joshua McClain (born Nov 18, 1845) was my great grandfather. His son Beverly was my Grandpa. I am probably related to other Day's.
