hi my name sarah Mansfield I am researching Dennett family of napier new Zealand henry Edward Dennett is my gggrandfather im lookin for information about his family he married Hilda mary Collins from gisborne New Zealand I have found out about Collins side through some of the genology sites but nothing on the dennet side is anyone able to help fill in the blanks thank you very much

On looking through BDM it looks like Henry Edward Dennett's parents were Catherine and William Young Dennett (if this is the right family of course??)
William and Catherine had 7 children according to BDM
1868 - Margaret Ref 1868/19490
1869 - Emily Ref 1869/20656
1870 - Henry Edward Ref 1870/22107
1872 - Frederick William Ref 1872/22818
1876 - Lynda Agnes Ref 1876/12823
1879 - Rose Violet Ref 1879/13636
1883 - Ruby Catherine May Ref 1883/16699
Then I found two articles in Papers Past - have a look

It looks like Henry Dennett had an alias - Thomas Topping.
The two names for the Dennett boys - Henry and his brother Frederick William, match up in the articles, but you will have to verify that these are the right two people you are after.
Same with the BDM references. I have just found this information by browsing through wed sites - you will need to verify the information, but it might give you some useful information?

Henry Edward Dennett is my great grandfather! We are the Dennetts from Wellington and have long lost touch with surviving relatives in the Napier area. Henry had a son, Sydney and his son (my father) Peter. I would be pleased to know details of your family. I guess you have seen the below link too….regarding long lost Dennett relatives in Argentina!
