He came played chess in the Cornish Championship first Tourney in 1875 as reported in The Weekly Murcury newspaper, Saturday May l8,1907 upwards.

Sergt. Saunders of Pendennis was also mention- and many more. His son John Warwick( he became chief commissiioneer of the Irish Lights) married Janet Haldene and they lived in Foxrock, Co.Dublin, Eire.They had three children Elsis, Audrey, and Norman(he was killed in a motor bike accident)
