His parents were Edward John/James Mead and Anne/Mary Ann/Annie WHEILDON. He died 21st Feb 1931 at Blenheim, New Zealand. He married twice, Christiana Matilda Strike on 25th Sept 1878 at St. Paul's Cathedral, Dunedin, NZ and
Sarah Flora Williamson 5 March 1891 at Presbyterian House, Blenheim, NZ.
