looking for George Bullen son of Conrad and Mary Elizabeth

Query by 2buddy

I am trying to find the family of George Bullen born 1747 in N.Carolina.(father to Jacob Bullen born 1785 in Rowan, N. Carolina) George was married to Hester Strosser(born 1759 in Germany). But that is as far as I can find; does anyone out there have any additional information. We were always told we were Irish but Conrad and Mary Elizabeth were born in Germany.

This is my family and I have come to the same question; we were always told we were Irish (actually "Black Irish" whatever that is! And American Indian)Never any mention of German. If you find the answer...please let me know, I have been working on my genealogy for a few months now and have come to a road block...any help would be appreciated!!

George Bullen (born 1747) parents were Conrad Bullen and Mary Elizabeth or Elizabeth M. Conrad was born in 1717 in Evangelisch, Moer, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany and arrived in North Carolina in 1763 at the age of 46. He died in Rowan, North Carolina in 1805. His parents were Willem Hendrich Bulen and Catharine Bulen. Willem was born in Germany and married Catharine in 1772 in Rowan, North Carolina and died in 1810 in Westelbeers, Oirschot, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands.
This is my family also and I too was surprised to find out we were German after always beeing told we were Irish. Perhaps our ancesters came from Ireland first and then to Germany????
I got all my imformation from ancestry.com; so I hope I'm telling you all the correct info!
