Looking for HILDA CULLUM Bolton Manchester UK

Journal by Denise47

I am trying to find information about my Grandmother
Hilda Cullum, her father was Ernest George Cullum, and her
mother was Lily Nelone? Unsure of Lily's Sir name as was
hard to decipher on Hildas Birth Certificate. Hilda was
born at her home: 29 Elaine Street Birchwood, Warrington
She worked as a Drapest Assistantat 3 Bennetts Lane Manchester.
Hilda had a son, Denis Cullum, who is my father.
Denis Cullum was born at 42 High Street Chorlton upon
Medlock Bolton Manchester England.
My fathers real father is unknown, and this is what I
would like to be able to find out if possible. Hilda left
England Via the Ship 'The Tainui' in the 1920's
Hilda married Walter Brook here in New Zealand.
Hilda had 3 Brothers, 2 of whom are known as Fred and
Cyril,
she also had 2 sisters, Elsie and Edna. I would be so
appreciative if anyone might be able to supply any information at all.. thank you. Denise Brook. New Zealand

More details on your CULLUM family might appear on 1901 or even 1891 Census and also marriage lookups. Goto RootsChat register as a new user, free site, then goto their England boards. They also have an Emigrants to New Zealand board which is fantastic.

You may attach the birth certificate to this journal for others to assist in disciphering if you wish. Especially if it is a .jpg file.

You're welcome.

I have CULLUM (CULHAM) ancestors from Winfarthing, Norfolk, England around about the 17th Century.

Do you have a tree online somewhere? Have you ever seen TribalPages it's a great starting point, free site, with the choice to upgrade to premium sites allowing for more photos etc.

No, unfortunately I dont, but I will certainly check out Tribalpages. My sister has Hilda's Birth certificate, so I can pass this info onto her, what I would really love is to find out who my real Grandfather is.. but is going to be a huge battle I think, as seems to have been kept very hush hush, as things were in those days. thank you so much again..
