Jacob is my gggrandfather. His son Adam was my ggrandfather and his son Otto was my grandfather. He lived in Adrian and Detroit. I have different dates for Jacob's birth and death. He was born in Golshausen, Baden, Germany.

KLE may I ask what dates you have for Jacob Adam Baischs birth and death? The name is fairly common for this part of germany so it is difficult. Also, any spouse, father or childrens names may help me substantiate. I may have incorrect birth and death info. Thank you.

We are definitely related. Johann Jakob Adam Baisch according to my research was born May 19, 1914 in Golshausen. He married Katharina Wiech Dec. 22, 1842, also in Golshausen. They immigrated to the US, arriving May 18, 1854. Jakob died Dec. 4,1868 and Katharina died Oct 5, 1896, both in Michigan. I actually visited their graves a year ago at McIntyre Cemetary in Monroe. Recently I found out they were founding members of St Paul Lutheran Church in Maybee, established Jan 4, 1860. They had 14 children I believe, one of which was Adam. He married Delia Miller in Adrian and they had six children, the eldest of which was Otto. He moved to Detroit where my father was born. I was not aware until recently (2 years) that I had relatives in Monroe. The really cool thing is that I visited Golshausen last week.
I didn't find any records but it was nice to see where the Baischs came from. My name is Katherine Baisch Evans and you can email me at [email protected] I look forward to exchanging some more information!
