Looking for Jacobson from Brooklyn early 1900s

Query by zahava

My father's father was Hyman Jacobson.
He lived (and died)in Brooklyn before 1950.
I believe he came to NY from England.
I would be interested in more information about his anscestors.

There is a Hyman Jacobson listed on the Ships Manifest CARONI sailed 25 April 1911 from Liverpool to New York. He was a single male Tailor. Looking at Ellis Island records a Hyman Jacobson arrived on the ship CARONI 3 May 1911, he was Hebrew from Leeds England. He is listed as 18 years old, his father is shown as Jacob Jacobson of 10 Hawkins Street, Leeds, Yorkshire. His passage was paid for my his Uncle who lived in Milwaukee and his final destination was Milwaukee. If this is him the in the Uk 1901 Census he is living at 31 Imperial Street, Leeds, Yorkshire
Jacob, Head, 33 (1868) Grocer (provision) born Hungary
Fanny, wife, 30 (1871) born Russia
Hyman, son, 8 (1893) Leeds Yorkshire
Sarah, daughter, 6 (1895) Leeds
Rachel, daughter 8 months (1901) Leeds

Hope that helps
