Both he and his wife Catherine from a Maori background and I have a photo of Catherine with a tattoed face.If any one has any thing on this family which could be of help or if they are some of your ancestors please let me know as this is as far as I can get back on this side of my family.

Dear Raelene, Hi there. Welcome. If you goto my journal Webpages for genealogy in Victoria, Australia you should be able to get stuck into your research.

Most especially have a look at the Ballarat genealogy link down the bottom of my journal that I've written above in link.

And if you sign up as a free member of the rootschat.com website, goto the Emigrants to Australia board, post some topics on bdm (birth, death, marriage) lookups as lots of rootschatters have the bdm indexes on cd-rom for each State in Australia.

Please, please in this journal put a comma in between your surnames so that they become clickable links EDWARDSHARPERSHEEN EDWARDS, HARPER, SHEEN or is it EDWARD SHARPER SHEEN??

Hi Raelene, I think that we have may have some link family wise. My husband is Ross Morris whose grandmother is Catherine Watson, whose parents were James Thomas Watson and Catherine Edwards.

Hi everyone, I am the gg grandson of James Watson & Catherine Edwards. Down the line through their son Edgar Watson, and his son James George Watson, and his daughter Gloria Jean Watson, and her son (me) Richard James Lang. I am interested on the note above where Catherine is of Maori descent. This is not so. Catherine was in New Zealand as a child between 1861-1867 where her father was killed. Her mother returned to Victoria, Australia with the children and remarried. I would really like to have a copy of the photograph mentioned.
