Journal by 1bobbylee

Searching for any information on John Waters, born around 1775. A dear woman, historian, and genealogist was able to find this information, but could not find any other on John, who would be my GGGGGranfather. I desire to find any information.

I am not familiar with all the genealogical sites. If someone could find anything that I have not been able to find, it would be sincerely appreciated.

There was a John Waters who was the oldest son of Francis Waters of Amherst VA. Francis died and his will is recorded in the Union Co.,SC Probate , Box 9, package 12.,(1816)A large number of these Waters- Francis children- moved to Hall Co. GA except for William Waters who died in Spartanburg Co. (now Cherokee CO) SC.

Jan A william Waters was my GG Granfather. He was (from what I have gathered) was born to John Waters, Sptg county SC. b - 1805 d- unknown
John was married to Nancy. From which I found out was Nancy Hendrix of Woodruff SC, Sptg county SC. William was born in Sptg county SC but moved to Chick Springs, Greenville SC. Was my GGG Granfather, John the son of Francis? Thank you. Was William the son of John, Born 1805? Thank you for this additional information. It has given me another trail to follow. Sounds fruitful. Sounds like Francis moved to Sptg county where possibly John b 1805 GGG Granfather was born. Thank you Jan. I will follow up on this. Hope I have not asked questions that you can not answer. This looks good!
