Looking for Joseph Laycock PGM in 1735 in County Durham UK

Question by Dutch46

Joseph Laycock was the first Provincial Grandmaster of Durham - Swalwell Lodge- in 1735. He became a manager of Crowley Iron works at Winlaton in the early part of the 18th Cent. and came from Wetherby Yorkshire.
I believe he is the father of my ancestor Richard Laycock who was married in 1750 Whickham, County Durham, to Elizabeth Blacklock but have not been able to find Richard's birth/baptism.
All help and information about this family is much appreciated.
