Looking for Kentucky Clemons/Clemmons family

Query by Clemons_seeker

I'm new to this, but have been having some successes in finding folks in my tree. I'm looking for a few people I know existed, but apparently the government did not.

Greenberry Clemmons/Clemons 1863-1917...AKA Green B or G B Clemmons, and family.

His brother Christopher Columbus Clemmons/Clemons 1860-1933...and wife Nancy Ann Warford.

Anyone that is behind these people would help me out, I don't know names or info before them for certain.

Supposedly the parents of the brothers are Josiah Clemmons Birth about 1814 in Kentucky Death 1900 and Martha A Thomson 1824. But I find no proof of that.

And also, Sally/Sallie Baker, 1888- about 1970, married to E B Clemmons/Clemons 1882-1971. I'd love to know if her parents existed...because I find no trace.

This whole group lived in the Powell County, Lexington, or Clay City Ky area, close to Black Creek. The Interstate took the land where the E B Clemmons house stood, and I'm too far away to drive there looking for clues. If that sounds like anyone you may have info on, leave me a note, or message.

Thank you!

Oh thank you! I use the Ancestry.com site and it never showed that census at all, just the 1940 one, and that did not help much.

Now if I can just find the parents!

Thank you again! I have copies of the c-1910 Clay City Times that lists Clay and Elsberry as brothers, and C C Clemmons as the father, so I'm pretty sure that's them. I know nothing about John W, or the sisters of Clay and Elsberry. Elsberry...aka E B had a son, Elsberry, with his third wife, and that is the Sallie/Sally I'm also looking for, his mother...and her parents. But I at least have some proof they existed, other than my say so. lol

Martha A Thomson Clemmons is who I have as Josiah's wife, but no dates for marriage or death.

The only one I had was that 1940 one, the rest have been kept in the dark secret spots of Ancestry. Seems they only give hints away if you already have the info...

E B had three wives. He married somebody named Fannie, who died soon after the marriage, possibly childbirth issues. He then married Grace Ware, who died in childbirth, leaving a daughter, Grace. I have the Clay City Times issue for that death. I assume that Grace as next of kin is his 2nd wife Grace. But it may be his daughter Grace. After that marriage/death, E B married Sallie/Sally Baker. They had the offspring listed in that 1940 census. So it all ties in, but lots of people there I've never heard of at all.
