David B. Evans born July-Sept. 1919, possibly in Plymouth, England, birth certificate in Vol. 5b, pg. 281. Married Barbara Rogers in 1941, marriage certificate in Vol. 5c pg. 673.

His father was Captain D.L.C. Evans, the Master on the SS Phemius in 1932 when it was caught in a horrific storm in the Caribbean. His mother was Winifred Anning of Plymouth.

David had worked for the National Provincial Bank of Penzance, England prior to WWII and possibly afterwards. He was a Capt. in the Royal Armoured Corps and received the medal of Honor from the Republic of China for his service. He was wounded in WWII in 1943.
