I am looking for Lorens Johnson, aged 22, who married Mary Ann Portlock in Castlemaine Vic 1859 - Lorens parents are recorded as Henry and Mary Ann Johnson and his place of birth is shown as Denmark. I am aware that a Lorens Johnson married Margaret Love in Bendigo 1860 - he was aged 29 and parents recorded as Carl Johnson and what appears to be Maria Bilston, his place of birth recorded as Gothenberg Sweden. I also note that a Lorence Johnson married Sarah Baker 1865 and Mary Ann Pascoe 1873; when he married Sarah Parker his place of birth was recorded as Keil Denmark, aged 26, and parents William Johnson and Catherine Peter.

Just as a matter of interest Lorens Johnson and Margaret Love who married in 1860 would appear to have died in NZ 1900 and 1898 respectively, they are buried in the ‘Lawrence, Cemetery, Otago’ he is recorded as Lawrens Johnson and her as Margaret Love on the cemetery index.
