Looking for Mary Ann Price born 1816 Clare, Suffolk. England

Journal by lynniliffe

My Mary Ann Price is supposed to be the daughter of Matthew Price and Mary. She was Christened 3 Nov 1816. ? died in 1881. She had an illegitimate son who she called James Price. He was born 16 April 1837. Clare, Suffolk. She married a widower, Thomas Newman when James was eight months old. Marriage date 25 Dec 1837 in Clare, Suffolk. James kept the name Price and it is still carried by his descendants to this day. Thomas was born ? Foxearth, Essex. Thomas and Mary Ann Newman went on to have eight children. My James married Mary Ann Clark on 23 February 1858 in Hawkedon, Suffolk.
I am looking for any info on both Thomas Newman and Mary Ann Price as I have hit the proverbial brick wall.
Any help on this one would be gratefully accepted!!!

Dear Lynn, Try going to the RootsChat website. See if you can post a new topic (like a journal here) to get rootschatters to find your Mary Ann's actual baptismal record. Should definitely have the parents details there.

Then you can go onto tracking the family via census lookups and even marriage data in the parish records.

EDITOR.

PS I expect you will have to be very careful researching as these are rather common and popular surnames - PRICE / NEWMAN etc. Sometimes it is easier to work on an unusual surname first and then you will find more on your bunch.

PPS Try and find out the spouse's names of all the children of Thomas and Mary including all their children's names.
