Looking for MATHEW FLYNN born Rush Co.Dublin Ireland Emigrated to Australia 1864 approx

Journal by jmwalsh

Am trying to find out about Captain Mathew Flynn my GG Granduncle born 1820 who emigrated to Australia possibly Perth area with his wife Sarah Gilsenen and family daughters Sarah and Mary in the mid to late 1860s a third daughter Kate remained back in Rush Co Dublin Ireland.

Prior to emigrating Mathew captained the GREAT TASMANIAN from 1860 to 1864 and before that was captain of the Saldanha.
Both ships were of The Black Ball Line out of Liverpool so Captain Mathew Flynn would have brought thousands of people to Australia before making the move himself.

I believe his descendents are still in the Perth area so any help in finding them or what happened to Mathew in Australia would be much appreciated
