On the marriage certificate does it give her age?? and any parent details.

I found these listing, spelling different.

Australian Marriage Index
Name: Alice A Macintyre
Spouse Name: Joseph J Clarke
Marriage Date: 1888
Marriage Place: New South Wales
Registration Place: Berrima, New South Wales
Registration Year: 1888
Registration Number: 4334

If she was born in 1872 she would be just 16yrs old and would need consent from her parents.

also interesting that marriage of Owen to Anna has different spelling also

Found this interesting article on Trove

Wagga Wagga Advertiser and Riverina Reporter

Wednesday 13 Jan 1869

(Before the Police Magistrate and F.

Tompson, Esq., J.P.)

ANN CONFREY was brought before the Court charged with unlawfully deserting her four children at Cuddell, on the 7th of January.

Constable James Fegan deposed. to the arrest of the prisoner at Narandera. When told the charge against her, prisoner said that she had to go to Wagga Wagga on business, and had left a man in charge of her children. She was on her way back to the children when she heard that they had been taken away. Remanded for further evidence until

the 12th instant.

(Before the Police Magistrate and F. A.

Tompson, Esq., J.P.)

ANN CONFREY, on remand for child desertion. William Gannon deposed : That he was a farmer at Cuddell, and had bought prisoner's land. Prisoner came up to Wagga Wagga with him. No person was left to take care of the children, but witness's wife used to go down and feed them.

William Honey deposed that he had seen the children with nothing to eat and half naked. He went to Narandera and reported the desertion.

For the defence, Owen Macintyre, brickmaker deposed : That when prisoner left for
Wagga Wagga, he bad bean left in charge of the children. The witness Gamden had asked him to go to Wagga Wagga with him, and said that his (Gannon's) wife would take care of the children. The prisoner was discharged.

If she was on her own in 1869 did Micheal die before then??

Do you have the death for Michael Confray and his marriage to Hannah/Anna Logan?

Thank you asheppard for your response.
yes I have a copy of Alice Agnes McIntyre and Joseph John Clarke's marriage certificate - it says that the magistrate had to give permission for Alice to marry because of her age.
I also have the newspaper articles of Hannah/Anna leaving the children on her property which she had just sold - Narrandera - and she and Owen McIntyre galloped away on a horse.
No I don't have a copy of Ann/Hannah and Owen McIntyre's marriage certificate.
I found that the Confray children went to Tumut to live and Kate died aged 16 or so from diphtheria. Barbara Confray married Charles Burg in Tumut.
It said in the newspaper article that Anna was a widow when she sold her property.
Cant find Michael Confray's details.
Thanks very much.
