This may be their marriage.

Groom: John MCDONALD.
Birth place: Scotland.

Bride: Laura Louisa PALAMOUNTAIN.
Birth place: Ballarat.

Year married: 1908.
Place: Victoria.

Ref 1: Victorian Marriage Index #2260.
Ref 2: Victorian Marriage Index #2260 R.

The marriage was registerd a second time for some reason. The details are the same so I'm not sure for the reason.

You said Laura was born in Scotland circa 1876, but the marriage registry recorded her birth place as Ballarat.

Do you have the names for Laura's parents?

Unable to locate any children for John and Laura in Victoria, and only three in South Australia and I expect you have these details.
