Peter Allan was a brother to my grandfather James Campbell Allan. Both brothers were raised in Renfrewshire, Scotland.

Grandfather James Campbell Allan came to NZ probably in the early 1900's or thereabout with the Shepherd (not sure of spelling) family.

My dad (also a Peter Allan and son of James Campbell Allan) recalls when he was about 5 or 6 (in the early fourties)his Uncle Peter coming to visit them (in Taihape or Marton). His uncle was in the navy and we know nothing more of him. Did he return to Renfrewshire or somewhere else and have a family? If so, where are they? This is a mysterious missing link.
