From Bruce Clarris:
There was also a George Ratz driving some kind of supply cart.

It mentions John Ratz was a carpenter in 1876.

Mick Ratz (another in same photo)
Susan Ratz

In 1902, during a drought, Mick Ratz drove 20,000 sheep to the coast, in an attempt to keep them alive. He returned later on with just 2,000.

There is a picture of an old Elizabeth Ratz and a similar vintage Mick Ratz. Makes me think he was her brother.

Another is Mrs Mick Ratz (Polly Munt) and Mrs Ebacker (Francis Ratz) I'm thinking could be a sister of Elizabeth and Mick.

Dear Racheal, Hi there. Welcome to FamilyTreeCircles. I have created a surname wiki page for RATZ, just look on the homepage, there should be many links there to aid in your research.

Firstly, if you goto my journal - Webpages for Genealogy in Queensland this will be a great start for genealogy specific to our State.

I've done a few searches for you already...There are 56 search results for RATZ at The National Archives of Australia.

Six search results for RATZ at The Queensland State Archives

Two references to RATZ in a catalogues search of the Collections of the State Library of Queensland, South Bank.

You should also be able to obtain a ships picture of the Aurora if you like, just by googling.

Let me know how you get on. Enjoy.

Kind regards,
