I'm looking for any information on
Mark Rodwell born in Bombala NSW
Thomas Rodwell (I believe there was 3 generations of Thomas Rodwell's including 1 or 2 that were convicts transported to Van Diemens Land)?
Sarah Baker (Mother of Mark Rodwell)
Ida Stagg (wife of Mark Rodwell)
Douglas Rodwell (son of Mark Rodwell) born in Echuca Vic in 1920
Eileen Durham/Dunham? (wife of Douglas Rodwell)
Any info such as birthdates and places and especially the convict info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi princesscheeks ;-)
There are at least two different sets of Rodwells that came to Victoria. The ones now from Bombala & Delegate can be readily found online if you Google Monaro Pioneers Project. They also have a Thomas Rodwell included ...

One of the Monaro Rodwell descendents recently informed me that his ancestors once had the biggest sheep run in Australia. They were free settlers, apparently farmers from Hertfordshire England if I recall correctly.

The other set of Rodwells were descendants of convict David Rodwell B:1819 Salisbury Wiltshire England) & transported 1838 per the ship Lord William Bentinck (2) to Hobart Tasmania VDL.
In 1846, David Rodwell married convict Rosina Hammond (B: Chelmsford Essex England). In about 1852, they moved with their two young sons to Victoria, ultimately taking up residence at Percydale near Avoca, Victoria.
David's son David Cornelius Rodwell (B:1848) later marrried Mary Anne Curnick, and they had 12 children.
There's a detailed outline at ...

Thomas Rodwell (B:1778 Salisbury Wiltshire England) was the father of convict David Rodwell (B:1819). One of David's brothers - James Rodwell (B:1827) was last heard of in Wiltshire County Prison 2 July 1844. There doesn't appear to be any record of James Rodwell actually being transported, but if you have something, that would be wonderful.
Cheers
