Looking for ROSETTA NALE SUITER,Montgomery County, Tennessee.

She was my grandmother, my father's mother, and she died about
1910 or so. I believe my father said she died of tuberculosis.
My father was then raised from the age of 2 or 3 by his aunt,
his mother's sister, Matilda Nale Hogue and her husband John Hogue,
in Clarksville. My grandfather, husband of Rosetta Nale Suiter, was
Norman Suiter.

My father moved to Florida in 1926 where he met and married my mother,
Verna E Rousseau in 1929. I was born there, in West Palm Beach,in
1930, my brother John N Suiter was born in 1931 and my brother Robert
was born in 1934.

I found on familysearch.org (you may want to look at this site...if you click on canada,usa,mexico...you can go down to Tennessee and click on that State).

Marriage: Norman Suiter, Rosetta Nale, 28 Mar. 1904, Montgomery, Tenn.

Also another marriage, Norman Suiter, Margaret McGregor, 19 May 1913
Clarksville, Montgomery, Tenn ????

If you could find the death date of your Grandmother....do you know the cemetery she is buried in... than you could obtain an obit to see if her parents names are mentioned. Once you have your great Grandparents names than you can look further for info from census records, and other records. Keep in mind that the spelling might not be the same.

I did find a marraige for ....John Hague, and Matilda Nay...
18 Feb.1883, Montgomery...............keep in mind that these records are extracted and the hand writting might have been poor or the person taking the information could not spell????

Are there living relatives that you could talk to about family information..... ????

Best wishes in your researh.

Thanks to poorone for the help. I am a novice at genealogy and
can use all the help I can get. My only living relative that I
am aware of is a second cousin who lives in Montgomery County and
she was not able to help except to tell me that her mother had
searched for a brother, Napoleon Nale, but had not found him .

I failed to state in my request that my name is William Suiter
and my Father was Paul Suiter, born in Montgomery County, TN,
on August 26, 1908.

Hello William,
I am Judy Suiter Ames living in Turner Or. My father, Ray W. Suiter, is your fathers first cousin. His father was Leonard Suiter and his mother was Lilly Nale from Clarksville Tn. I believe that 3 brothers (Suiters) married three sisters (Nales) There was Uncle Doug Suiter who married Robbie Nale.

My father is still with us at 96 years young. He is a wealth of information for the Suiter family. I have been interested in doing research but do not know where to begin.

I remember Paul coming to Oregon and did get to meet him. Also, when we lived in Brookings Or, Jack came to see us and my brother, Norm Suiter, rode back to Fl with him. Also, I did meet Bob Suiter when he was on leave from the Navy, I think he also visited us while living in Brookings Or. I would sure love to chat with you about all of this.

I dearly loved my Grandpa, Leonard Suiter, and Uncle Norman Suiter

You have many relatives living in Oregon and we would all love to hear from you. We have a yearly Suiter Reunion and they come from Oklahoma, Texas and Maryland. All first cousin. Daddy came from a family of 7 children and he and two of his sisters are still with us.

Please respond and would sure enjoy visiting with you one of these days.
I can't seem to find anything on my Grandma, Lilly Nale. Can give you much information regarding this side of the Suiter family.

Hope to chat soon.
Judy
