Welcome pyorke.

Lots of SPARGO's in Cornwall.

You could try this site for more information.

http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org

I found a Thomas SPARGO baptism as 4th March 1816 father John occupation Miner and mother Mary

also 9 other children all in Wendron between 1801 to 1832

possible marriage also on the cornwall opc site for John SPARGO to Mary MOYLE which is one of the children's middle names, so it looks promising.
