Looking for the birthplace of James Joyce and Sarah Field who arrived in Adelaide on the Buckinghamshire in 1840. He died in Adelaide in 1876. Oral family history tells us that the Joyces originally came from Northern Ireland and were Protestants.

My great grand father was Thomas James Joyce, born 1841 in Adelaide to James and Sarah. My grandfather was Victor James Joyce born Adelaide in 1885. The Joyces later moved to Victoria living in Bendigo, then Yarraville. Victor James Joyce died in 1949.
