Looking for the descendants of Friedrich & Rebekah Ziegler immigrants from Saxony Germany in 1863 to Detroit Michigan USA

Journal by cissie

My husband is a descendant of Charles or Carl Ziegler , son of Friedrich Ziegler and Rebeka Von Etton.

They emigrated from Thuringen Germany on the Mobile, which arrived in New York June 1866, on thier way to Michigan. Friedrich was aged 51, Rebeka 57, Hermine 16,Carl 26, Caroline 26, Carl 2.
I assume that they were travelling together. We know that they were Jewish.

The next document I found , was the June 1880 census, which states;
Loare Teothoe age 41 [head of house]
Hermine age 30 [wife]
Emma age 12 daughter [at school]
Max age 10 son [at school]
Rudolph age 4 son
Otto age 2 son
Ziegler Rebeka age 71 motherinlaw

From family sources we assume that Rebeka died about 1895-98, because Carl left Tonga to go to America for the reading of the will and to tidy up his mother's estate.. Sadly documents were destroyed in a fire. We know that Carl was very fond of his sister, and one of his daughters was known by that name, but it is written Heamine in Tongan. The name is carried in the next generation as well.

We assume that Rebeka died in Michigan and after her death ,the family moved else where.
