She her sister Elizabeth born 1884(Aunt Lizzie) and their Mother Martha Maria Thompson (nee Rackham)Emigrated to South Africa in 1901 and arrived in East London South Africa in the Raglan Castle passenger ship. They came to meet Arthur George Thompson to who Martha M was married and their son Arthur A.I have a copy of the marrige certificate for Martha Maria Rackham and arthur George Thompson. The 2 Arthurscame to SA to fight in the Kafferian wars and remained here. Flora was 13 years old at the timeof their emmegration and Lizzie was 18. During the voyage Flora met my great grandfather Guido Patrick Josef Branigan. He was en route to Durban SA to join the Natal Mounted Police. The Thompsons moved to durban some time after their arrival and Guido and Flora continued their relationship. They were married in durban in 1924. Flora and Guido had one daugter named Natalie. She is my maternal grandmother. Martha M lived in an apartment in West Street Durban until her death in 1940/41. Guido served in the Natal Mounted Police until 1926. he died 1946.
