looking for Walker family of Auckland area of New Zealand

looking for may Grandfathers family,Auckland area.
Name: John William WAlker, born 1863. His fathers name was Joseph Walker a cattle dealler
John Walker was married in New Zealand - we have no name
Our story starts with him:
Enlisting in WW1 in 1916 - paper advise him as being 5'6", blue eyes and fair complexion.
He was married but had not seen his wife for about 5 yrs.
He served in the Militia, probably 1890.
He met and Ivy Grace Feltham in Wandsworth UK in 1918 and returned to Australia to live in Sydney.

I will check my files etc as my tree is on another site, but my husbands family include the Walkers, in fact there are about 5 of us in the Walker/Clark family researching them! This sounds as tho we may have a match

Thanks for your help, there are only 2 living children of John William Walker, but a whole lot of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He had a cousin in Sydney, named Mrs K Jenkins (I assume her married name)

My mother would dearly love to have further information of her father and any other family member he has.
