Looking for Walter George Chase born estimated birth year 1856

Query by esahcl

Would be grateful for any information. He is our Great Grandfather Chase. He married Charlotte Haynes/Haines on the 4th May 1880. They travelled to and settled in Australia after their marriage. They had three sons, the youngest being Ernest, born in 1890 in NSW Australia. He is our grandfather. Have a birth certificate for him but unable to find birth, Immigration or Marriage for Walter. Cheers Lee

Where did George marry Charlotte? I assume you have the marriage cert to know the date, who were their fathers on the cert and their occupations?

I assuming you mean the Birth cert for Ernest, if not what are the parents names of Walter on the Birth cert?

Thank you yes, I have a birth certificate for Ernest William, born in NSW Australia in the year of 1890. On that certificate is the following information:-
Ernest William Chase born 12th October 1890 in Alexandria NSW Australia- 2 male siblings (none deceased) also

1. father - Walter Chase Age 39, Born in America, Occupation Carpenter.
2. Mother - Charlotte Haynes aged 33 Born in England, Occupation Home Duties
3. Date of Marriage - 4th May 1880 Place England. It is Walter and Charlotte I wish to research and verify.
The family moved to Victoria Australia, and died there. I have a deceased entry for Charlotte in The Faulkner cemetery but not for Walter.
I have found an entry in the United States Census of 1880 that has them married and living in New York (no children at that time)
Also an entry for Walter in United States Census of 1870 at the age of 14 living in the house of Mariah Chase. I have not verified these as being the person of interest. There seems to be some confusion as there was another Walter Chase living in NSW. This family moved mainly to Queensland Australia and also has a connection to New Zealand - Bay of Plenty. I am sure this is not the same Walter which we are related to. He is a bit of a mystery. My thoughts are that he was a ship's carpenter maybe because of his entries in different countries? If any one can point me in the right direction without having to go to Ancestry. com would be most grateful.

I do not have a marriage certificate for Walter and Charlotte. I know the date from their son's birth certificate. (Ernest William) The other children were:
George Walter 1885 and a Hy ( could also be Henry) Hawthorn Chase b 1886.
