Looking for Western's that came from Ohio to Indiana
William Western was born in Theddlethorp, Lincolnshire England and had 6 brothers and sisters. At the time of his death in 1884 he had a brother in Decatur County,Indiana and 2 sisters in Hamilton County,Ohio and 1 sister in England. I have quite a bit on William but would like more information on his siblings and his wife Mary Boon a native of Rosscommon County Ireland. There were 5 Boon children mentioned in his obit that I would like info on also. William and his wife Mary A Boon came to Indiana in 1841 and all lived in the immediate neighborhood of Bartholomew County, Indiana

I beleive william and one more sister was left off the family tree.
If there is anything else I can help you with let me know.
William Western is my gg grandfather. I know his father's name was Thomas but not absolutely postive that Faith Wardall and Thomas were actually married. Faith could have been married to both Thomas and George Western seems it was a custom for brother to marry their brother's widow especially if children were involved. The Wardall Western's that I knew or knew of had Red hair and were nicknamed "Red". The Wardall I knew never married. He lived on the homestead in Indiana and had a pet turkey that was kind of a watch dog. The very first home burned down so the log hme I knew was the second one built on the farm. They raised pigs and grew corn.
PMSX604: I am related to the Wardall (my line spelled it Wardell) and have info on William's father
William's baptism record lists him as being the "base born son of Faith Western. No father listed.
Found the following:
BASTARDY RECOGNIZANCE dated 12 Feb 1812. Mother: Faith WESTERN widow of
Theddlethorpe. Putative father: Thomas CROFT of Theddlethorpe Labourer.
[LQS A/1/384/28]
In 1841, Thomas Croft was age 70 and living on his own in Theddlethorpe.
I have a lot of Wardell info. email me at mpitkin (at) live.com if you would like to know more.
My husband's gg grandfather is William Western. We are also searching for information related to his wife Mary Ann Boon!! To date all we knew about her was that she was born in Ireland and that she had 5 children. Does anyone have a copy of birch certificate, marriage license, obituary from her or William? I saw the above comment that she was born in Rosscommon County. That's a big country - any leads of narrowing the search? I will be traveling to Ireland soon and would LOVE to get any info on her AND her parents etc so I could so SEE exactly where she was born and possibly find a family cemetery etc. Our family tree comes from their son William Western JR & Mary M Olmstead. I am a pre beginner genealogist and amazed that I even found these comments!
