Hi there,
I have had a look at BDM NZ. There is a daughter, Edna Jean White, born 30 Jan 1915.
1915/21081 White Edna Jean Lily May John Keerfoot
Edna Jean died in NZ in 2005 aged 90 years.

Thank you for that.
Any ideas how I can possibly trace what ship they sailed on?
I'm going round and round in circles. I think I've lost one of my oars.
Cheers
Hi there. lol keep looking you will get to the bottom of this family.
Looking at the dates. John K died in 1924 aged 62, born c1862.
When he married Lily May Deacon in 1912 he was 50 years old.
I found this on Trove. It looks like Lily May was his second wife?
Here is a birth notice from Vic, Australia.
BIRTHS.
WHITE.-On the 18th May, at Leeds street, Footscray, the wife of John Keerfoot White of a son.
Independent (Footscray, Vic. : 1883 - 1922) Saturday 23 May 1885 p 2 Family Notices.
You probably know that Lily May lived to be 100 years old. She was a widow for 61 years!
Have you obtained John K's death certificate? That might give you some info about his parents, or (a long shot) that he had been married to someone else and had other children?? OR, you could send to Vic for John and Lily's marriage cert. That will probably tell you if he was a widower when they married.
Here's a bit more.
If you search Vic Historical records there are 9 results for a death between 1885 (when the first wife gave birth) and 1912( when John K re-married) for a 'White' surname with a spouse named John White.
This is a pay to view site, but for $5 to view 4 pages you might find the name of his first wife, and from there you might find the first marriage. I'm thinking John and first wife likely emigrated to Aus. together as a married couple??
Good luck, keep rowing. lol.
Regards
R.
Some more - might be a red herring?
